• Pre-Departure

A Pre-Departure Briefing, covering all aspects of life and study in Australia will be held to help prepare departing scholars.

• Arrival

On arrival in Australia, the scholar will receive assistance to help settle in,  and get started with their studies. Among this assistance will be an Introductory Academic Program delivered through the university/institution.

• Returning home

Upon graduation/completion it is mandatory that scholars return home and contribute to the development of their home country, where they utilize new skills, knowledge and learnings for the betterment of their communities.

• A Global Network

Upon completion, awardees become part of a global alumni network, keeping them connected to Australia and to other alumni, building an engaged and influential global network of leaders and advocates for development. Alumni will have access to further professional development and networking opportunities, and the chance to mentor others interested in undertaking an Australia Awards Scholarship.
